Canopy Commons

Canopy Commons is the easiest way to find and manage pop-up markets.

The world of popup markets is bigger than you think. Every mid-size and up city has hundreds of vendors, and it's the lowest-friction way to start and validate a new business.

However, everything about the world of popup markets is inefficient, and no one is building software for these new businesses.

For vendors, it's hard to find popups. An entrepreneur needs to network her way into this world in order to get access to the good markets. Even after finding a network, it's highly variable. Some markets are profitable, other's are essentially a waste of time.

For market hosts, it's hard to find good vendors. If there's a poor match between the vendor and the market (selling vintage goods at a food-based market, for example), that vendor will have lower sales. Worse vendor/market fit means vendors aren't willing to pay much to attend a market.

Of course, when the vendor/market fit is strong, those vendors will pay a lot more to attend that event because they know they'll make a profit. The vendors make more, the hosts make more, and everyone has a more successful day.

The solution is straightforward: Get all the vendors and market organizers onto the same network.

Vendors can book more markets, and they can book better markets.

Hosts can curate vendors to create a more successful event.

This network encounters a classic cold start problem. Yet, 100% of active vendors who I spoke to about this platform expressed interest in joining, and many have signed up. The demand is overwhelmingly positive. More vendors leads to more markets being posted, which leads to more vendors joining, and so on...

At this point, the platform needs a new owner in order to continue growing. I can keep the website running, but don't have the bandwidth for onboarding new vendors. Is this you? Get in touch!
