BCD Travel

I came to BCD through its acquisition of the startup GetGoing and spent the next six years growing the company's hotel booking platform from zero to millions of bookings per year across 100+ countries. The work I'm proudest of is the hotel rate recommender, a side project that I turned into the company's top development priority. It drove eight-figure annual profit gains while improving the booking experience for travelers and saving money for our corporate clients.

In 2022, a former manager recruited me back to lead the relaunch of TripSource, BCD's traveler-facing website and app for booking and itinerary management. This was a true 0-to-1 build: deciding what to include, what to exclude, and balancing priorities across product, design, marketing, sales, engineering, and executives. The job was primarily about bringing structure to ambiguity, keeping the team focused on the most important outcomes, and protecting their time so we could launch, with stakeholders up to the CEO kept informed along the way.
