Brevard Watch Company

2014 - 2019

In the summer of 2014, I couldn't find a watch that fit my needs. I wanted the following:

  • 38mm diameter (Smaller than nearly all men's watches)

  • Good quality movement and crystal (Swiss-made movement ideally, with a sapphire crystal instead of mineral glass. This ensures you won't ever scratch it)

  • Around $200

Nothing matched this, and I believed I wasn't the only one who would want a watch like this. To test this theory, I set out to create an MVP of the best small men's watch and sell it for $200. And that’s what I did!

The final product was a 38mm watch, popular with both men and women. It features an anti-reflective coated sapphire crystal that is nearly impossible to scratch unless you use a diamond. This is paired with an accurate, Swiss-made quartz movement.

The sales were enough to cover my costs, but achieving greater profits would have involved more time than I was willing to give this project. I started this before knowing how to code, and I’ve since learned I prefer to work with bits instead of atoms.

I shut the company down in 2019 to focus on other work.
The website is no longer live, but I’ve saved some of the marketing materials here. Many of these photos are from my work with the H Hub, where I was one of their first clients.

Do you have a Brevard Watch and need support?
If anyone reading this has a Brevard Watch or has questions about the company or their watch, email me. Most likely, your watch battery has run out, as it will for any quartz watch. This is an easy fix - any watch or jewelry store can swap out the batteries in about 2 minutes. You can do it yourself as well, but you’ll need a watch press.
